Job Description

The Technical Librarian is part of the Planning Department and reports to the Production Planning Manager.  As the Technical Librarian you are responsible to ensure availability of all Technical Documentation required to allow that SR Technics Malta Ltd. can comply with aviation airworthiness compliance standards.  This includes downloading of manuals, bulletins and TEM’s including revision control, download of SGML Data, publishing of Airworthiness Directives, CMM downloads, verification and workflow handling.

 

Main Tasks

  • To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization.
  • To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual.
  • Responsible for the handling and upload of the necessary Aircraft, Engine and Component Maintenance Manuals
  • Download AMM/IPC SGML Data from Airbus World and upload on SkyDocs for the Jobcards and Methodics Team to be able to create and issue the Jobcards
  • Verification and upload of last revision of Component Maintenance manuals from Suppliers and Vendors (as applicable)
  • Creation and revision of Tool list as per manuals from Vendors and Manufacturers (as applicable)
  • Verification and upload of latest Tooling Equipment Manuals from Vendors and Manufacturers (as applicable)
  • Subscribe with relevant Suppliers for any new Standards being issued and update and notify relevant Production Personnel accordingly
  • On time procurement and distribution of manufacturer/vendor documentation and revision control of these documents within the given Technical Librarian Software
  • International contacts with internal and external customers in relation with Technical Documentation Items
  • Interface to all different units of SR Technics Malta Ltd
  • Ensure the high data quality in the area of Technical Documentation
  • Knowledge of the relevant processes and act accordingly
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time

  • Ensuring all technical documentation is available on time, accessible and up to date (no expired documents)

 

Position Key Requirements and Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in the Aviation Industry or in a similar Role
  • A diploma/degree in IT is desirable
  • Knowledge of Standards (ISO, ASTM etc.) would be considered an asset
  • IT Literate
  • Good Social, Organizational and Communication Skills, reliable and trustworthy personality
  • Positive Attitude and Solutions Oriented
  • High Degree of Customer Focus, both internal and external
