Overview

The Team Leader in Material Coordinator reports to the Head of Supply Chain and is responsible to oversee activities related to co-ordination across the material supply function.  In this role, the Team Leader will also assume daily functions related to material planning. The incumbent will liaise closely with other leaders and stakeholders to ensure an efficient operation and the achievement of the agreed service levels.

Main Tasks

  • To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization;
  • To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual;
  • Plan and coordinate team members’ activities to ensure that staff maintain the expected quality standards and that internal key performance indicators are maintained;
  • Ensure an efficient workflow of material supplies during the respective ground time by liaising with the respective stakeholders;
  • Support team members in matters that may arise during ground time input;
  • Identify areas of development and engage in mentoring and coaching as required;
  • Liaise with members of management and key stakeholders to establish needs and requirements of the unit;
  • Receive, review and coordinate material requests raised by other departments and/or customers - this may also include to actively take on a project and handle material requests;
  • Plan, coordinate and execute so-called “pre-load” materials and issue to point of use;
  • Order and follow up the provision and supply of parts from various SRT stations and external sources, meeting or exceeding the agreed service level;
  • Monitor internal material and parts flow;
  • Collect data and measure relevant KPIs;
  • Attend meetings and conference calls as required;
  • Forecast future material requirements and plan provisioning of materials accordingly;
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of standard parts, meeting or exceeding the agreed service level for “off the shelf” solutions;
  • Monitor status of open orders and movements of incoming shipments, follow up as and when required;
  • Support other sections within the department as needed;
  • Pro-actively maintain up-to-date knowledge of processes and procedures related to warehouse activities to be in a position to assist as and when required;
  • Assist in warehouse operation as and when required, including lean periods and during shutdown and assist during inventory checks;
  • Assist with provision of materials and parts as required to the “point of use” based on local supply concept;
  • Adhering to contract/JPM requirements and ensure a customer centricity concept is adopted by the team;
  • Handle dangerous goods as required and in line with health and safety policies;
  • Report presence and working time according policies;
  • Report any safety, risk or paper discrepancies to superior;
  • Engage in any other task commensurate with the role.

Your profile

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an EASA Part 145 aviation organisation;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and other MS applications;
  • High sense of ownership and urgency when necessary;
  • Well organised, diligent with high attention to detail;
  • Excellent knowledge of aircraft maintenance tasks and documentation;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Be a good team player with an aptitude for leadership;
  • Be a good communicator, confident and is able to problem solve;
  • Knowledge of SAP and AMOS will be considered an asset;
  • Experience working with Airbus or Boeing aircraft is preferred;
  • Knowledge and experience of controlling, creating and updating company processes is an advantage.
