Overview

Supporting the Warehouse & Logistics Manager by leading the team of storekeepers within the operational warehouse function and associated activities in Malta by ensuring Security, control and safe handling / issue of materials for SR Technics and all 3rd party customers.  Ensure the team remain motivated and assure accurate recording of the movement and issue of all materials. Ensuring all relevant procedures are adhered to and to ensure all aspects of the role are upheld by practicing in all requirements as identified below.

Main tasks

  • To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization;
  • To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual;
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time.
  • Secure implementation and continuous improvement of SRT safety management system (SMS)
  • Provision of appropriate work places and working environment, which comply with authority (MOE), industrial safety and health requirements
  • Ensure compliance with employee protection regulations regarding workplace ergonomics and safety
  • Guarantee quality of workmanship in accordance with all applicable SRT and authorities’ rules and regulations at all times
  • Management & Control of time expiry-controlled parts and reporting accuracy
  • Competence with the discharge of Company responsibilities for all contracted customer procedures in parts control.
  • Management & Control of Bill of Materials (Preloads) for all future aircraft inputs.
  • Ensure Preload (Bill of Materials) provision in preparation for scheduled maintenance in line with Production requirements.
  • Demonstrate competence in Manual Handling Training needs.
  • Packing reporting procedure.
  • Temperature & Humidity Control and reporting where applicable.
  • Support Staff Induction.
  • Management of core returns in line with customer needs.
  • Drive quarantine resolution to meet internally set SLA’s
  • Obtain and maintain Dangerous Goods Approval.
  • Demonstrate awareness of HR Policies.
  • Support Logistics manager in PDR Objective setting and monitoring of staff progress.
  • Contribute to the security of the Stores Facility.
  • Total compliance with the Company procedures.
  • Monitoring of the cleanliness and continuous improvement of the Stores Department in line with the company 5s Principles.
  • Adherence to Company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy.
  • Total Flexibility to work varying shift patterns as required to provide efficient and effective service levels to dynamic business requirements.
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of the business including undertaking Lean Management Training and participation in Lean improvement projects.
  • To undertake any other reasonable and ad-hoc duties as and when required, as defined by the Supply Chain Management Team.
  • Controlled amount of Non-conformities from CAA and internal audit findings.
  • Company Procedures & Departmental Instructions regularly introduced or reviewed and amended or deleted accordingly.
  • Stock control oversight with F.I.F.O approach to improve stock accuracy
  • Support the execution of annual and ad-hoc Wall stock check processes in line with Financial and customer needs.
